Saturday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m., the Salt Lake Art Center will be the site of the first-ever Art Nosh, a “playful mishmash of art, food, and drink.” Winemaker Michael Knight of Kiler Grove Winegrowers will lead an informal wine class, with selections paired with fruit-inspired hors d’oeuvres from Andi’s Magic Apron. More fruit can be experienced during a curator-led tour of the center’s Fallen Fruit exhibit. Eden Clam Bake
I recently spent a very enjoyable evening up at Harley & Buck’s restaurant in Eden (3900 N. Wolf Creek Drive, It’s just a bit beyond Huntsville and Snowbasin, a sprawling restaurant with gorgeous deck views, a bustling bar and really good food and service for dinner and Sunday brunch. Well, on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 5-9 p.m., Harley & Bucks will host its annual old-fashioned, New England-style clam bake, complete with live music. Featured menu items will be lobster, cherrystone clams, steamers, peel & eat shrimp, corn on the cob and new potatoes. Text “Lobster” to 85775 to receive a $5 discount off one entree. Harley & Buck’s regular dinner menu will also be available. For reservations, phone 801-745-2060.

Ali on the Move

Congrats to Ali Raafati who, as general manager for the past few years, has made dining at the Grand America Garden Café a real treat. His graciousness and service are unparalleled. According to hotel director Anthony Bartholomew, Ali has been promoted to director of outlet events at the Grand America, meaning he will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of all parties and special events. That’s reason enough to book the Grand for your next shindig!
