Scoop for Success
Through the month of July—National Ice Cream Month—Bambara restaurant in the downtown Hotel Monaco will join Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants in launching “Scoop for Success,” a monthlong celebration of ice cream to benefit local Dress for Success affiliates. Dress for Success is an international organization devoted to helping women re-enter the workforce. For the entire month, Kimpton chefs nationwide will create and offer two “Scoop for Success” ice cream desserts, and $1 from each dessert sale will be donated to Dress for Success. At Bambara, chef Nathan Powers will feature a new signature ice cream flavor called “Summer Campfire.” Of his ice cream creation and Bambara’s partnership with Dress for Success, Powers said, “We are pleased to support Dress for Success in a way that also celebrates our heritage of the outdoors.” Bambara is located at 202 S. has just installed a new, 40-barrel brewing tank to help keep up with the heavy demand for Epic beers. In addition to the brewery, restaurants serving Epic products include Pago, Este Pizza, Thai Lotus café, Green Street, Fiddler’s Elbow, Sages Café, Vinto, Metropolitan, Sun & Moon Café, MacCool’s, Beerhive Pub, The Bayou, Poplar Street Pub and Smokin’ Blues Barbecue in Logan.
