Lawful Libations: Local Liquor Updates
Christmas came early this year for local club-goers. On Dec. 8, the Salt Lake City Council made big strides, removing the outdated restriction of two bars per block—a move that bodes well for Utah tourism. SLC Mayor Ralph Becker lauded the decision, even though a shortage of liquor licenses may make the reform seem less impactful.

Scenester Siege: W Lounge brings the Dance
Flash & Flare, Hot Noise, JSJ and Corey Bolo turned out at W Lounge (358 S. West Temple) for Scenester Siege. The weekly hump-day event features some of the best remixes by artists who should be on your radar. Jeff Larson, aka Hot Noise, spun some great tracks that really got the scenesters rowdy.

Bingo Anyone? See you at Twilite
Twilite Lounge (347 E. 200 South) recently started a weekly bingo night on Sundays. It’s free to play prizes like T-shirts, black lights, notepads and “tons of other rad stuff” are awarded, according to big bingo winner and local skateboarder/photographer Adam Dorobiala.

What’s the frequency? Orange’s new Saturdays
Club Orange (533 S. 500 West) is kicking off its new Nite Freqs party on Dec 19. The allstar lineup features Muscle Hawk, Type Funk, JSJ & ChícBangs, Flash & Flare, ChaseOne2, Nickel & Dime, MuscleHawk, Nawm & Cobol, HotNoise, CoreyBolo, and The Black Hats. Hot Noise will host all future Nite Freq throwdowns.
