BBoy Federation Battle 2

Saturday Oct. 2 @ Utah Arts Alliance

A common occurrence we’ve been seeing at festivals this year: break-dance performances. Grab a DJ, a turntable and a solid place to spin, and you’ll see one of the most physically challenging and entertaining showcases anywhere.

But, finding a show can be difficult, even for the most knowledgeable fan. Which is why a group dubbed the BBoy Federation has taken the hip-hop feature and mixed it with the spirit of competition to present six scheduled contests featuring some of Utah’s best crews.

Putting up one show a month over six months, the groups battle it out with the freshest skills they have, earning points along the way to a final eight-team battle coming in February, all with the hope of helping the BBoy scene grow and giving dancers a chance to hone their craft.

Prior to the main event, the group will be hosting a clinic Friday night with Meen 187 from Dynamic Rockers teaching, followed up by the competition on Saturday, featuring at least nine different crews battling it out, with DJ Electronic Battleship keeping beat.
