Best of Utah 2008

It’s our 19th annual Best of Utah issue—so, what have we learned? Apparently, to get started earlier, but that's a whole 'nother story …

This year’s cover models, Keys on Main (Best New Piano Joint) and the Voodoo Darlings (Best New Burlesque Troupe), are but two of 300-odd City Weekly staff picks to complement 100 categories voted on by our readers—and only 20 of you wrote in the Olive Garden for Best Italian Restaurant this time around; we’re quite proud of you.

More so than the 51 other weeks of the year, our Best of Utah issue is about turning you on to new things in the 801/435, as well as looking at old favorites in a different light and gently knocking around a deserving few here and there. We considered an entire section dedicated to Sen. Chris Buttars, but no one wanted to buy an ad there—sorry.

If we missed any of your favorites, let us know: We’re already gearing up for Best of Utah 20.
