Because there were so many unanswered questions from 2008’s Death Race and Beverly Hills Chihuahua, both films have now given unholy birth to follow-ups that didn’t want to waste time dallying in theaters. Now, they can be yours!

Send an email to scottr[at]cityweekly.net indicating your preference for either Death Race 2 or Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2—no doubling up—with the subject line "Sequels" telling us in 150 words or less what you think would be the perfect plot set-up for these thoroughly uncalled-for second installments. The best suggestion for each will win a free copy of the DVD in question. Winning submissions will be chosen by your friendly neighborhood film critic, and posted in this space on Friday, Feb. 4; no direct family members of City Weekly employees need apply, blah blah disclaimer etc. Winners must be able to pick up prizes in person at City Weekly office, 248 S. Main St.

Now let your creative imaginations loose. Heaven knows you couldn't do any worse than the people who make direct-to-DVD sequels.
