A group of friends was in a lounge on Redwood Road when someone informed them their car had been prowled. The friends left the lounge where they saw a man and a woman driving away in a Lincoln Town Car. They followed the car four blocks north where the Town Car pulled into a 7-Eleven and the woman used a check taken during the car prowl to make a purchase. The male prowler took off but was caught by one of the group of friends who knocked a knife from the prowler’s hand in the ensuing fight. When police responded, they found the alleged male prowler complaining of pain in his shoulder, knee and left eye, which was swollen shut. He was taken to the hospital before being booked.

A woman telephoned police from a neighbor’s house reporting she had just escaped a kidnapping attempt on Pueblo Street. An ex-boyfriend and two others bound the woman with rope and placed her into the trunk of a car, but overlooked a latch that allowed the trunk to be opened from the inside. Officers responded to a home where the three reportedly armed suspects were hiding and negotiated their surrender.
