When you think of the term “Big 3,” what comes to mind? Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett? Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh?

How about Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall and Jeff Foxworthy (pictured, right)? While those names may be blasphemy to a comedy purist, there’s no denying the success of the Blue Collar Comedy phenomenon of the early 2000s. The group toured steadily for nearly six years before heading off in separate directions, but the Blue Collar Big 3 are back on the road again—minus Ron White.

Using essentially the same tried-and-true jokes about the plight of the everyman, the show is finally making its way back to Utah (an original January date had been pushed back) and a few new “You might be a redneck,” “Here’s your sign,” and “Git-r-done” jokes might just bring the first bit of joy to EnergySolutions Arena since the Jazz died last month.

Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, Jeff Foxworthy @ EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W. South Temple, 801-355-7328, March 25, 8 p.m., $31.30-$68.70. BlueCollarComedy.net
