’Tis the season when the cold climate prompts the urge to bundle up under layers of clothing, and the Bundle Up artist group bundles a quartet of artists with diverse backgrounds into an eclectic group. Marina Atherton studied printmaking with Leia Bell, among others, adding her own sensibility to the medium. Brad Barker brings his experience from old-school Salt Lake City punk band Victims Willing plus a sense of childlike whimsy. Paul Baird is a self-taught photographer and acrylic painter. Jayson Ross brings his graphic design background to the photographic medium, a finalist in Photographer’s Forum magazine’s contest who’s been showcased at the Park City Art Festival.
The work of these four artists together has a sense of unity as well as balance between the disparate elements, their personalities bundled into a multifaceted whole. Fresh is the eclectic retailer that once exhibited art on table-tennis paddles, and it’s a refreshing space to come in from the cold and wrap yourself in these images.
