Busy Roads Help Businesses

While I applaud the purpose of the Get Out article by Wina Sturgeon about driving in the Salt Lake valley “East Side, West Side,” June 24, City Weekly), I would like you to consider another viewpoint. I own a business located on 5300 South, on the border of Murray and Taylorsville, where 80 percent of my business depends on the rush hour traffic moving past between 5 and 7 pm. Were it not for those passing by during rush hour, my livelihood would not exist.

I believe your article would be more responsible in encouraging a more intelligent design of our roadways, not in encouraging commuters to avoid busy roads.
