For more than 30 years, Utah has been setting the standard for haunted houses. Located in Salt Lake City, Castle of Chaos has been named “One of America’s Scariest Halloween Attractions” by the Travel Channel. For two weekends in April—this one the second—they’re opening their doors for the third-annual Spring Scream.
With the theme of “10 Years, 10 Fears,” the event promises to be the most terrifying haunt yet. In an industry that relies heavily on animatronics and horror movie themes, Castle of Chaos has broken the mold to become a Utah favorite. It completely renovates all the rooms in its 20,000 square-foot building every year and uses more than 100 live actors, designers and special effects staff who pride themselves on being able to gross you out and make you scream. Part of the $10 ticket price goes to support the Boys & Girls Club of Utah, so you can feel good that your screams are for a worthy cause.
