ENERGY SUMMIT
There's been a lot of news about our energy future—how it's at risk and how it's adversely affecting our health. Now, you can hear what you can do to create a "renewable and regenerative future." This event just happens to be around the time of the Governor's Energy Summit, and you can guess what the governor thinks about the whole mess. SCHOOL SAFETY LOBBYING
Interim session at the Legislature is starting up, and it's a place where you can make a difference. Action Utah is starting a monthly series to discuss legislative issues, beginning with school safety in the wake of the Parkland shooting. You can take an Interim Session Tour of the State Capitol and attend some of the public committee meetings as you learn how to make an impact in person or at home. State Capitol, 350 N. INLAND PORT ACTION
The Legislature has decided that development is more important than environment, and certainly more important than local control. We're talking about the Inland Port, which is not really a port in the sense of water unless you think of it as a businessman's wet dream. Given the legislation that made this possible, the public at least has a chance to raise its voice against this monster transport and storage facility near the fragile Great Salt Lake.
