The HERA Women’s Cancer Foundation is calling on hikers and climbers to gear up for a weekend in the Wasatch Mountain to raise money for the fight against ovarian cancer. For a $75 registration fee, participants can choose from three different guided hikes including a summit at Mt. Aire, Grandeur Peak or Gobblers Knob. The event also features two parties: hors’ d’oeuvres and a cash bar at Café Trio on Friday, and dinner and dancing at Black Diamond on Saturday. Salt Lake City Recovery Day

The road to recovery from drug addiction is long and difficult, but there are thousands of people and dozens of organizations cheering along those running for recovery. This weekend, join the Salt Lake City Recovery Day

Independent Living 5K Fun Run & Roll

Join the Utah Independent Living Center help make the lives of Utah seniors and people with disabilities a little easier at the nonprofit’s annual 5K, fun run, walk and roll. A $15 registration fee ($20 day of) will get you into a prize drawing and the race that you can run, jog or cruise through in a wheelchair.
