Contrasting Translations

I wish people who want to post critiques in City Weekly would really know what they are talking about. Ben Coke writes [“God is War,” Letters, Sept. 29, City Weekly] that Luke 19:27 talks about what Christ said about non-Christians. Totally wrong!

Luke 19:27 talks about a man who was appointed king. Christ was not appointed king. This parable talks about a man who was saying these things. Not Christ.

Go back and read the parable again. Either your comprehension skills are lacking or you are an anti-Christian. I’m sure you’ve misquoted the Quran as well.
