It looks unassuming on the outside, but The Dawg Pound is arguably more “Metal!” than all other State Street bars combined—if your band has anger issues and a pointy, illegible logo, you’ve probably played here on the hallowed stage right next to the front door. There’s pool and, of course, suds: The last four digits of the club’s phone number spell out B-E-E-R.
