Manzanares has been with the Voodoo Darlings since 2008 and also sings, acts, models and edits her own film projects. A graduate of the Atlantic Theatre Company Acting School in New York City, she also studied at the Julliard school and CAP21, New York University’s theater program. She recently played the part of Sheila Franklin in Park City’s Egyptian Theatre Company’s production of Hair.
Manzanares can also be seen in runway shows in Utah, in her weekly videos on CityWeekly.net's Video Page and in sketch comedies on her own YouTube channel (YouTube.com/BeanerLaRue). She writes, directs and edits the sketches herself. “I want to do it all,” she says. Despite her drive to continually challenge herself, she also enjoys being in her pajamas, watching reality TV with her husband and dog. “I’m more of a homebody than most people think,” she says.
