Dick(el) In A Cup–A Dixie Cup
Dick ’n’ Dixie’s opened March 30, and the neighborhood bar that replaced Andy’s is bustling. If you aren’t a hipster and really need a bar on the corner of 500 East and 300 South, you’re in luck. Lisa, a cute and helpful bartender who assisted with some of the renovations and the bar launch, is now assisting in the creation of a fun atmosphere in the old building; she said Dick ’n’ Dixie’s is going for a “neighborhood bar without the bullshit” vibe. Case in point: the bar’s signature drink, Dickel Whisky in a Dixie cup. It doesn’t get more down-home and neighborly than that.

Get FRESH with Theophilus: Scenester Siege-ing
Local clothing boutiques have been on the club-promoting bandwagon for a while, and thankfully, they usually do a great job with their events. FRESH on 9th and 9th is hosting Theophilus London, along with Flash & Flare and Nickel & Dime April 16. Scenester Siege is behind this event, so you know it will be packed and full of pretties at W Lounge (358 S. West Temple). Pick up some cheap pre-sale tix for $5 at FRESH.

Run to the Reverend: Harry O’s Hosts Rap Legend
Perhaps you’ve heard of one of the most influential hip-hop groups ever, Run DMC? And if you have, then you already know about Reverend Run—better known to “the kids” these days as the dad on MTV’s Run’s House. The good Reverend will be spinning April 17 at Harry O’s in Park City (427 Main). This event also features New York’s DJ Mel DeBarge. This Saturday also closes out the run of Park City’s popular “Saturday Night Live” events at Harry O’s until next year.
