We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

By the way, I Sushi features half-priced rolls during weekday lunches. And, for sake lovers, for $8, you can purchase your own traditional Japanese wooden sake box at I ♥ Sushi. Customers write their names on the boxes or decorate them and leave them at the sushi bar for return visits.n

In conjunction with Earth Day on April 22, Park City will kick off Sustainability Week and the Energy Film Festival with Recycle Utah’s Earth Day Party at Squatters Roadhouse Grill, from 5-9 p.m. The cost for the party is $25 for adults and $10 for kids under 12, which includes dinner and drinks. All proceeds will directly benefit Recycle Utah and go toward the purchase of a new EPS foam densifier, a type of compactor that reduces bulky white packing foam to a fraction of its original size. In addition, the Park City Squatters will host a number of free Sustainability Week educational seminars like Recycling & Composting 101, Running a Greener Business and Greening Your Home. For more information on the Earth Day Party and Sustainability Week and Energy Film Festival, go to RecycleUtah.org. Squatters Roadhouse Grill is located in Park City at 1900 Park Ave. Its phone is 649-9868 and its Website is Squatters.com.

Along with its famous knife-wielding chefs, teppanyaki-style Japanese cuisine and the sushi bar upstairs, Benihana also has a cool new drink to offer customers. It’s called a Hot Sake Infusion. Served in a large sake bottle and traditional Japanese sake cup, the Benihana Hot Sake Infusion features Benihana’s hot sake and a choice of Grand Marnier, Chambord, Midori or SOHO Lychee Liqueur. Benihana is located at 165 S. West Temple. Phone them at 322-2421 or visit Benihana.com.

Quote of the week: I never eat sushi. I have trouble eating things that are merely unconscious. —George Carlin
