After reading the Fast Five review [“The End of Heroes,” Sideshow, April 28, City Weekly], I was appalled by the conclusion. First off, it is poorly written. Next, the writer’s expectations do not take into account the legacy of the Fast movies.

I have been following this series just as has everyone else in the country. Some fans have fallen off because the films no longer emphasize the racing aspect. However, the beauty of the series is that it has progressed from the adolescent fascination of racing cars without negating its following (although it still has poor acting).

I couldn’t get through this review for the simple fact that any person who builds an expectation off of past movies does not understand the movie industry one bit.
