Fall Dine O’Round
It’s that time of the season again: time for the Fall Downtown Dine O’Round, sponsored by the Downtown Alliance. Alliance executive director Jason Mathis says “Dine O’ Round is a favorite tradition. For many of us, changing autumn leaves means cooler temperatures, back to school and new dining adventures in Utah’s capital city.” In case you’re not hip to Dine O’Round, it works like this: From Sept. 17 through Oct. 2, 43 of Salt Lake City’s best restaurants will participate in the eighth annual Dine O’Round. Forty-one will offer three-course dinners priced at either $15 or $30 per person, depending on the venue, and 33 will offer “Lunch On Us,” a two-item lunch for $5 or $10. New to Dine O’ Round this autumn are Cannella’s, Caputo’s by Night, Faustina, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Oasis Cafe, Olive Bistro, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, Sage’s Cafe and The Wild Grape Bistro. For more information and a complete listing of restaurants participating in Dine O’Round, visit DineORound.com.

Free yogurt for a year!
EarthFruits Yogurt will celebrate its grand opening in Provo on Saturday, Sept. 18, with a chance to win free yogurt—lots of it. To kick off the grand-opening festivities, EarthFruits will be giving away a year’s supply of yogurt to the first 100 people in line. The total value of the giveaway is $26,000, based on 52 yogurts per customer for the year. EarthFruits will designate its parking lot as an urban campground for any fans who would like to camp out to be first in line. In addition, the festivities will include Brazilian face-painting, a capoeira demonstration, a hands-on Amazon “Creature Encounter” featuring exotic, rare animals from around the world, including a Blue Front Amazon parrot, a pink cockatiel, an albino Burmese python, an 8-foot boa constrictor and South American tarantulas, as well as live music by Abraxas and an appearance by BYU’s mascot Cosmo the Cougar. Earthfruits Yogurt is at 44 E. 1230 North in Provo. EarthFruitsYogurt.com
