City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups -- in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events -- which are the industries most affected now.

The coronavirus pandemic has essentially wiped those sources of revenue overnight. At a time when Salt Lake City needs independent journalism more than ever, we're asking for your help to support the continued coverage of everything important to all of us in our state, from life to lifestyle.

Got Plasma?

I’ll admit, I’ve been in a bit of a slump lately. All me and my roommate have been able to pay was our rent, and not much else. As I was peering into “Back to School 2009” [Aug. 13, City Weekly], I skimmed over your “Fast College Cash” feature. The realization hit me like a ton of bricks: plasma! I could kick myself for not even thinking of this earlier!

Thanks to your article, I now have the means to not only get real groceries but can also make room in my budget for entertainment and bar play. You guys have always been my favorite read in the valley, and now I owe you my well-being. Thank you!
