Orrin Hatch’s Economic Summit
Friday, Aug. 28
Utah Valley University will host an economic summit featuring Douglas Holtz, former director of the Congressional Budget Office; Steve Forbes, editorin-chief of Forbes Magazine; and Utah Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch. The event will be preceded by a short public reception, so if you’re upset that Hatch decided to phone in his town hall meeting, this might be your chance to (civilly) shout at him about health care—just make sure to tie it into the economy.

Citizen’s Discussion Group: Singlepayer Health Care
Monday, Aug. 31

If you realize you need to learn more, advocates of the option are hosting a rally, discussion, and viewing of Michael Moore´s documentary, Sicko, at the Main Library.
