Many Utah places claim to serve “New York style” pizza, but none do: The sauce, dough and cheese mix are wrong. It’s a real pizza desert out here, or so I thought until I tried Este.
My first time at Este, I warned the owner I wanted real pizza. When he served it, my experienced eyes and nose recognized the unique look and smell of real pizza. And the taste? I took a cautious bite, fearing yet another disappointment. The owner waited for the verdict ... bravo! I found the oasis— real pizza at last (of the Coney Island sub-variety). And, as my discriminating Northeastern friends agree, this is the only place in Utah with real pizza.
