Ireland in the New World at Red Cliffs Lodge

When: Sun., Aug. 31, 6-11 p.m. 2014

@ Moab Music Festival, 58 East 300 South, Moab, UT
This concert explores the roots and pathways of Irish and Scottish music and song through the works of English composer Percy Grainger, 17th century Irish harper Turlough O' Carolan, and the great fiddlers and musicians who recorded their music on old 78’s in the early 20th century. Jigs, reels, tender ballads and humorous broadsides are the fare for this evening of toe-tapping Celtic music, performed by master musicians.
