Is Journalism Dead?

I wonder how much money or massive intimidation it took for what used to be Salt Lake City’s independent daily newspaper to decide to side with one of the two men running for governor. My thoughts are that if a newspaper has decided to side with one of two officials running for the biggest state job and favor this individual—who, by the way, is the present governor—it makes me wonder if true journalism is really dead.

I wonder what happened to actual writers who I thought had some neutrality towards politics, but again I fail to realize that I live in a place that has closed legislative sessions and one-sided politics.

It makes me realize that perhaps we are changing as a nation—not for the best interests but for only special and privileged interests.

May God help all of us and forgive us.
