His love for sports and his ability to effortlessly combine it with smart jokes has led to jobs such as guest hosting the nationally syndicated The Jim Rome Show, emceeing the NHL Awards and creating his own short-lived ESPN talk show. But Mohr’s obsession with sports is matched only by his fascination with video games. He has gleefully performed at every annual Blizzcon convention, amassing throngs of loyal gamer fans with not only his sharp wit but also his amazing fervor for World of Warcraft.

It’s Mohr’s ability to focus intensely on his interests that has made him successful in comedy. He started performing stand-up at age 16, and by 23, he was a cast member on Saturday Night Live, though his frustration with the constant struggle to get camera time made him walk away after only two seasons. Mohr has also found success in TV and movies, sometimes scoring hits like Jerry Maguire and Last Comic Standing and occasionally striking out with shows like CBS’s recently canceled Gary Unmarried.

Though he admitted to being initially uncertain about his future following the loss of his show, it wasn’t long before Mohr realized that comedy always would be his true calling. He has once again started to travel the long, lonely road of stand-up—at least until the next Blizzcon.
