Jim Matheson: Yay or Nay?

Jim Matheson may want to run for governor some day. Support him or not?

Derek Jones: Aw, Matheson, the bane of Utah Democrats’ liberal base. Sadly, though, if he were to run for governor, I’d have to support him. What would be the alternative? Another s—t-for-brains Herbert type? I can’t be down with that, no matter how centrist Matheson acts.

Kathy Mueller: Sure, he will get my support as long as he is running for governor in another state.

Nick Clark: Why not? He’ll probably only be governor for a year or two, then move on like everyone else.

Rachel Scott: I’d not support him because he’s clearly in bed with the health-care industry and continually taking money from big business and special-interest groups.

Susan Kruithof: I don’t love him. He does not inspire me. He’s just another career politician, and most of what he does is personally motivated. I did vote for Huntsman, my first-ever Republican vote. Now, he inspired me; too bad he gave up on Utah.

Jerre Wroble: I will support Matheson when he starts supporting Utahns. Not feelin’ it, Jim.

Lara Grant: Oh, hell, no. If for some reason I want to vote GOP next year for guv, you’d better believe I’ll at least go for someone who admits his true political status. Traitor!

Marty Foy: It seems that everyone hates him on Facebook. Did you see the “Democrats against Matheson” group? I do what the Internet tells me.
