John Crist was homeschooled. Most comics make fun of homeschoolers, not Crist. He’s always said it was the goodest thing that ever happened to him. Crist’s unique brand of stand up comedy comes highly touted as a finalist of the 2013 Comedy Central’s Up Next Denver Comedy Competition, winner of the 2012 Denver Improv’s Got Laughs Competition, winner of the 2012 Loonees Comedy Competition and finalist of the 2012 Comedy Works New Faces Contest. In September of 2012, traveled to the Middle East to perform stand up comedy for the troops stationed in Kuwait. You’ve even heard him on the Bob and Tom Show! Son of a preacher and one of eight children, Crist emerged onto the national comedy scene in 2010 when he was invited to open for legendary standup comedian Louie Anderson on the Las Vegas strip. Crist made the most of his opportunity and has since become a regular in Las Vegas, returning four times a year. Since his emergence, Crist has been touring the country making appearances at comedy clubs like The Comedy Store (Hollywood), The Laugh Factory (Las Vegas), Zanies (Nashville), Wiseguys (Salt Lake), The Denver Improv, Crackers (Indianapolis), The Comedy Zone (Charlotte), The Las Vegas Improv, The Laughing Skull (Atlanta), Comedy Underground (Seattle), The Stardome (Birmingham), Standup Scottsdale, Liquid Laughs (Boise), Flappers (Hollywood), Vaudeville Comedy (Chattanooga), The Joke Joint (Minneapolis) and the Denver Comedy Works. After performing at Microsoft’s Christmas Party at the end of 2011, Crist has built up a strong corporate following after performances for Lexus, The Latino Chamber of Commerce, Crisis Pregnancy Centers and HP Computers. John Crist’s imaginative, clean comedy makes him a crowd favorite in comedy clubs, corporate events, colleges and churches across America.
