Now, I don’t know much about history, but it seems to me that back in the olden days, piano players were rugged. I’m pretty sure an old-fashioned piano duel involved somebody getting choked with a piano wire. But sadly, that all ended when a guy named Billy Joel came along and kicked everyone’s ass, leaving us with piano bars where people just drink, dance and have a good time. A good example of this is Keys On Main (242 S. Main). Typically, there’s a $5 cover on the weekends, so take advantage of their cheap libations, like the $3 Bud Lights, $5 Guinness or $5 shots. Coming up, Keys will be throwing its highly anticipated Black Tie-themed New Year’s Eve party. The Daniel Day Trio will be opening things up at 7 p.m. and, then, of course, the dueling pianos will beat the crap out of each other at 9 p.m.
