Koyo is a terrific spot for traditional, authentic Japanese cuisine.
The sushi is good, but this restaurant specializes in cooked fare such as tempura, donburi, teriyaki, sukiyaki, yakisoba, tepinyaki dishes, tonkatsu and such. Koyo was voted "Best Udon" noodles by City Weekly. But definitely also try the beef sukiyaki and the tender shrimp tempura. Be sure and wear clean socks so you can kick off your shoes and sit at one of the low-profile tatami room tables.
