Machete Massacre: Danny Trejo’s Bay Bash
As if Salt Lake City didn’t have enough awesomeness to choose from this Halloween, Danny Trejo (Predators, Con Air and most recently Machete) will be an attraction, as well. The film actor will be hosting The Bay’s “Machete Massacre” October 29. Digital Underground’s Shock G will also be on hand to perform “The Humpty Dance” live, among other tunes. Tickets are available now via Smith’s Tix. The Bay is located at 404 S. West Temple.
Park City Thriller: Harry O’s
Harry O’s (427 Main St.) is the biggest place in Park City to party, and they’re holding another huge event this Halloween, the 5th Annual Thriller. October 30 is the date and the action gets started at 9 p.m., with Ravi Drums and Brisk performing.
How Alluring
Costume contests are great fun, especially when the winner can walk away with $1,000 in prizes. The best costumed couple gets $500, and another $500 will be split between best guy and girl costumes. DJ Chrismo will be playing songs to dance the devil out of you all night on Allure’s amazing, light-show dance floor. It’s a $5 cover for guys. Allure is located at 8925 S. 255 West.
Crawl-O-Ween: Part II
Pub crawls are epic enough, but when you add the Halloween season it gets extra-epic. October 30 sees the action start at 5 p.m. at Trolley Square for registration, if you want to hit all 15 bars. It continues with a second group meeting at Trolley at 6:30 to hit eight bars, and the last group heads out at 8 p.m. to hit seven bars. There will be a costume contest and overall cost of only 10 “bones.” One of the bars included will be Green Street (602 E. 500 South), where you can purchase advance tix for only $8.
Green Street also has great parties any day of the week, not just pub crawl nights. We recently stopped in on a Friday to catch DJ Sayo at the turntables for Decadance.
