We need your help.

Newspapers and media companies nationwide are closing or suffering mass layoffs since the coronavirus impacted all of us starting in March. City Weekly's entire existence is directly tied to people getting together in groups--in clubs, restaurants, and at concerts and events--which are the industries most affected by new coronavirus regulations.

Our industry is not healthy. Yet, City Weekly has continued publishing thanks to the generosity of readers like you. Utah needs independent journalism more than ever, and we're asking for your continued support of our editorial voice. We are fighting for you and all the people and businesses hardest hit by this pandemic.

You can help by making a one-time or recurring donation on PressBackers.com, which directs you to our Galena Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit, a resource dedicated to help fund local journalism. It is never too late. It is never too little. Thank you. DONATE

Miss CW 2014 Contestant: Princess Nika

"I’m Princess Nika, I like long walks late at night at Fairmont Park, bird watching, and fairytales with happy endings ;-)… I came into being back in 2009 with a little magic, glitter and a bomb lace front wig. The world of drag is so varied and unpredictable here in Salt Lake City and I am glad to be a part of it. My look has evolved since 2009 and is still constantly being inspired not only by those around me but also by the performers and entertainers who have come before me; drag, as well as, celebrities. I have met so many wonderful people, who have inspired, encouraged, and consistently driven me forward. My goal is simply to inspire. I have begun the process to come up with something that is very out of my element for this event to challenge myself and hopefully entertain you. I can’t wait to see you on June 5th."
