Tease at Club Edge: New Lesbian Night
A club that has seen more facelifts than Bruce Jenner recently settled into its skin as Club Edge (415 West 600 North) to much acclaim. The venue is largely staffed by former Trapp Door employees, who continue to celebrate diversity with weekly parties, including Tease Wednesdays. Creator Alicia Dresden says they’ve “geared it toward lesbians but anyone can come. It’s LGBT friendly.” The make-out booth is an interesting touch and a great place to get some action in privacy. Sept. 23 featured live music by drummer Lindsay Heath (Redd Tape, Muscle Hawk) and DJ Justin Strange.

The Nocturnal Prowl: New Clubs Spotted
City Weekly Club Matters gave you the heads up a few weeks ago about Monk’s change in ownership of the forthcoming Soul Lounge (19 East 200 South). According to owner/vinyl enthusiast Chase Jensen (Uprok) there will be new walls, carpet and murals sprucing up the place. There will also be an extended bar and a full kitchen serving pub fare. The downtown venue, slated for a mid- October opening, plans to host live bands and DJs.

Industrial music fans rejoice!
Klub Kaos, a new 18 venue specializing in heavy electronic sound, will be opening soon. Stay tuned for details.
