This week, stick up for open spaces in Salt Lake City and fight for clean, open, carbon-free skies. On Thursday, stop by the Salt Lake City Open Space Advisory Board to learn about spots the city may consider acquiring to keep the city green. On Friday, attend a meeting at the First Unitarian Church as it discusses divesting from the fossil-fuel industry, and learn more about encouraging your school or church to pull its investments in carbon-burning companies. Also, drop off old electronics and documents to be recycled or shredded at the Utah Department of Commerce’s Declutter Day event.
