On Friday, attend a meeting at the First Unitarian Church as it discusses divesting from the fossil-fuel industry, and learn more about encouraging your school or church to pull its investments in carbon-burning companies. Also, drop off old electronics and documents to be recycled or shredded at the Utah Department of Commerce’s Declutter Day event.

At this panel, the First Unitarian Church will be discussing whether or not to scrub fossil-fuel investments from the church’s portfolio. It’s part of a movement that’s caused students across the country to demand that their colleges divest from fossil fuels. Declutter Day

The Utah Department of Commerce is encouraging Utahns to practice safe commerce and be environmentally responsible at the same time with their special Declutter Day. Bring by your old documents for secure shredding, and also be sure to drop off any old electronics
