Peaceful Strength

Some say that President Obama’s hesitancy on Afghanistan implies weakness. I wish more world leaders had similar weaknesses. Obama doesn’t want to commit soldiers without a clear goal, a solid plan and an exit strategy—all aspects missing from President Bush’s military ventures.

Obama understands that soldiers should not go into battle without an end goal. So hats off to Obama’s “hesitation.” Soldiers are human beings, not chess pieces.
