Pig on the Rig
The pig returns! Tommy “T” Brown from Q4U in Kearns is roasting his “pig from the rig” each Friday through the summer. He’ll be serving up fresh barbecued pig, beginning at 5 p.m. until the whole hog is gone. The Q4U pig plate is priced at $12.99 and includes two side dishes. “Come on out for the best pig in the West!” Brown says. LHF Wine & Cheese
On the first Friday of each summer month, beginning June 4, Liberty Heights Fresh will host cheese and wine-pairing classes. The first class features white wines paired with goat cheeses. Locavore Market
Each Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tony Caputo’s Market & Deli hosts a locavore market that features local ranchers, farmers and food artisans selling directly to the public. The vendors get to keep all the money they make; Caputo’s doesn’t charge anything for the vendors’ space or take a single penny, according to Matt Caputo.
