Online marketing has changed the world, from the way we do business to the way we interact with friends. But what about changing lives? Is it possible for human altruism to go viral?

In Pimp This Bum, Utah native Isaac Goeckeritz and his filmmaking partner Sean Dolan tell the story of Tim Edwards, a Houston man who had been homeless for five years when he was approached by Dolan and his father, Kevin, with a unique concept: The cardboard sign Edwards carried at a busy intersection asking for monetary assistance should have a Website, and the notice “All Major Credit Cards Accepted.”

What happened next was a phenomenon, as news of the project traveled around the world, and the money raised grew to more than $75,000. What happened after that explores what a man chooses to do with a chance to start again. Join the filmmakers for the Utah premiere and reception.
