The farcical stage comedies of Oscar Wilde offer plenty of the author’s trademark wit. Pinnacle Acting Company is looking to transform Wilde into something even ... wilder.

Wilde’s plot focuses on an English Member of Parliament, Sir Robert Chiltern, and his many political and social acquaintances. One of these is Lady Cheveley, who possesses proof that Sir Robert made his fortune illegally and intends to use that information to blackmail him into pushing a government project that will benefit her. Be assured that romantic, political and other complications ensue.

And those complications may appear even more amusingly complicated as director Mark Fossen attempts a lightning-fast pacing in which cast members take on multiple roles. Misunderstandings, mistaken identities and other confusion coupled with character changes galore, seasoned with Wildean bon mots? It couldn’t get much wilder.
