Political Screw

This is in regard to the letter to the editor “Flip-flop Fever” [June 2, City Weekly]. What folks should realize about politicians is that they can see only as far as the immediate audience. Even though the cliché about “all politics is local” is true, politicians forget that their words are not limited to that audience.

Jon Huntsman Jr. has succumbed to his handlers’ advice. He needs to listen to his own.
And, for the “first alcoholic drinks ever” [Staff Box, June 2, City Weekly] of Sens. Waddoups and Valentine—and not just a few others—my wife, Mary, would serve ’em what they’ve been giving us for quite a while: a Slow, Comfortable Screw!
