People work for candidates they believe in to increase the chance that these candidates (or people like them) will, if not win, at least influence the direction and emphasis of other politicians [“Sanity Party,” May 10, City Weekly].

Short of pitchforks, that’s the only power we have. Abdicate that, and you guarantee that your preferences will remain not just unelectable, but worse: ignored. Your vote: Aim it where you want it to go.

You got conned by Obama; get over it and get to work.
