Progression & Regression

The makeup of Utah’s progressives is very disheartening. Occupy Salt Lake City has been infested with loyal Mormons and sympathizers who have prevented Occupy from focusing on by far the most corrupting corporate influence here in Utah—and one of the most corrupting in the country and world: the Mormon church. And some in the Utah Progressive Caucus of the Utah Democratic Party voice publicly and proudly—without opposition or irony—that former Republican presidential candidate Jon Huntsman Jr., as much an advocate for the 1 percent and trickle-down economics as Mitt Romney, would be as good or better a vice president to President Obama as Joe Biden.
