Provisions describes itself as “an American craft kitchen that offers a modern cuisine in a neighborhood setting.” Fittingly so—the house-inspired architectural design of the restaurant might convince you you’re sitting at your own dining-room table. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable of the ever-shifting menu—the bill of fare changes with the seasons—and all the chef’s ingredients are as organic and local to Salt Lake City as they come. The small plates are all wonderful, including the steamed buns and roasted-beet salad, but don’t leave the restaurant until you try the Tagliarini: braised rabbit coated with a sage brown butter sauce that melts in the mouth. With its voluminous wine and cocktail menu, Provisions promises to keep your satiety in check.
