Get Wild!
During the month of April, Rodizio Grill in Trolley Square invites diners to “get in touch with your wild side,” as they feature Wild Game Fest. In addition to Rodizio’s extensive churrascaria menu, they’ll be featuring rattlesnake, antelope, bison and kurobuta pork. Rodizio Grill will also be open for Easter Brunch on April 8 with a special Easter menu. For details, call 801-220-0500 or visit RodizioGrill.com.

Finca Opens
A new restaurant from Scott Evans, owner of Pago, opens on Tuesday, April 3. It’s called Finca—a Spanish word meaning “vineyard/farm”—and will feature contemporary Spanish cuisine sourced primarily from Utah producers. Located at the junction of 1100 East and 1300 South, Finca features “sustainable design elements such as bamboo tables, paper stone countertops, three-form panels and Bugassi wall panels, complimented by custom furniture and metal work by local artisan Clint Knecht of Blackridge Metalworks.” Executive Chef Phelix Gardner, formerly of Wild Grape New West Bistro and the Grand America, is in charge of the Finca kitchen. The menu features an extensive array of hot and cold tapas like pulpo de asador, boquerones, lamb albondigas and slate-grilled tuna belly, along with large plates such as harissa chicken tagine, Spanish mackerel a la plancha and blood sausage called morcilla. Bar manager Scott Gardner will highlight Spanish spirits, Sherries and Ports at Finca, along with a Spanish wine list selected exclusively for the restaurant. Finca will be open for weekend brunch, lunch, dinner and for late-night tapas and cocktails on Friday nights, from 10 p.m. to midnight. For more information, phone 801-487-0699 or visit FincaSLC.com.

City Creek Locals
There’s not much in the way of locally owned or independent businesses in the shiny new City Creek Center. However, if you visit the food court there, you’ll find three such eateries that are much better than any of the chain options: Bocata (from the owners of Settebello), Mykonos and Taste of Red Iguana.
