Drums and dancing—both fast-paced and more graceful hula style—are often the calling cards for Polynesian festivals. This weekend, Utah will showcase its best island traditions at the second annual Samoan Cultural Celebration Festival,
bringing together Utah’s Samoan community. The festival features traditional food and crafts, rugby and cricket tournaments, sports for the little ones, scholarship programs and nightly entertainment.
The festival supports involvement within city, county and state affairs, and puts on this yearly event to celebrate and promote Samoan Heritage both here and abroad It’s being held at the Utah State Fairpark to accommodate the anticipated large volume of attendees this year.
