All the suffering we see in our world arises because we are self-centered, because we wish only for our own personal happiness.
All the happiness we see in this world arises because of our looking after the welfare of other sentient beings. One only has to witness the damage done by political pundits whose reckless ideologies prove there is no need to elaborate further on this point.
