Sundays @ 7: Faculty Spotlight: Ning and Jie Lu with Wen Yuan Gu and Yuxi Liu

Visiting violinist Yuxi Liu from the Beijing Central Conservatory of Music joins faculty pianists Ning and Jie Lu for this special evening combining music of China and Europe. Folk-inspired Chinese pieces like "Beautiful Evening" and "My Motherland” are paired with the theme from Schindler's List and Franck’s Violin Sonata, widely considered one of the finest in the repertoire. This concert is a part of Asian Culture Week, hosted by the Confucius Institute of the University of Utah.
