Look for the exit sign on Interstate 84 near Morgan, Utah that says “Taggart” and viola! you’ll find this historic restaurant, tucked away in a stand of trees just off the highway.

The décor and ambiance is rustic log cabin: Loads of wood, a stone hearth fireplace, peacocks strolling the grounds and an outdoor patio for dining al fresco. The cuisine is classic American, featuring burgers, pot roast, freshly baked bread and salmon, mixed in with pita pizzas, enchiladas and terrific homemade desserts. Taggart's Grill doesn't take reservations but you can call 1/2 hour ahead to put your name on a table wait list.
