A Total Eclipse of the Jorts

There’s something insanely enjoyable about watching hipsters dance in jorts to Daft Punk at a biker bar. Last Sunday, the jorts were on full display during the inaugural Groove Garden party at The Garage (1199 N. Beck St.). Every third Sunday of the month till August 19, Mr. Jesse Walker of NewCityMovement and Riche Boom of Boogie Basics host this afternoon shindig of house, funk and disco music at a venue typically reserved for bands and bikers. Even if electronic music isn’t your thing, the patio at The Garage has even won a City Weekly Best of Utah award and is probably one of the best reasons to get day drunk while tossing around some cornhole. The next Groove Garden is June 17. Check out NewCityMovement.com for event details.
