Sundays are the new Saturdays

Typically, this back section of the paper is reserved for covering SLC nightlife. But when The Green Pig Pub (31 E. 400 South) throws a weekly midday party that’s this nasty, then hell, it’s my duty to check it out, try all the cocktails and report back. As you probably know, we are full swing into day-drinking season, and every Sunday Funday, this downtown spot cures weekend hangovers with a massive $10 brunch buffet, $2 mimosas, $2 Bloody Marys and 2011 CWMA DJ of the year DJ Flash & Flare. Combine all of that goodness with a sunny downtown rooftop patio and, voilà, I’m drunk with a sunburn. If you’re like me, the more you drink, the smarter you get, so if you can hang till 7 p.m., check out Adult Trivia downstairs in the main room.
