Did good living provide a good night’s sleep?

My companion and I lived on the first floor in an apartment building. It was a great place to live except that almost every night, noises such as headboards banging the wall and loud/constant yells associated with having sex came from the upstairs apartment. Not that we didn’t enjoy the excitement occurring several nights a week, but it always happened late in the night and would obviously keep us awake. One night, the noises started up again and were really, really loud. My poor companion began to pray on his knees to fall asleep. Soon thereafter, I lost it. I grabbed our ironing board and began to beat the ceiling incessantly as hard as I could. The noises stopped for that night.
